PARTHENOS would like to introduce two interesting opportunities for researchers and practicioners in the fields of Digital Humanities and Digital Cultural Heritage.

Digital Humanities in the Nordic Countries (DHN) calls for abstracts for its 2017 conference in Gothenburg, Sweden. The conference is organised by the Centre for Digital Humanities at the University of Gothenburg and will be held at the Conference Centre Wallenberg, March 14–16, 2017.

DHN2017 invites submission of abstracts on any aspects of the digital humanities, but there are some topics which will be particularly welcomed (you can read the full list here). The deadline for submitting poster, papers, panel and pre-conference workshop proposals to the Program Committee is 20 October, 2016. Presenters will be notified of acceptance by 20 January, 2017. The online abstract submission and registration system will be available on the conference website starting from 1 September, 2016. Make sure to check the website for updates.

DCH2017, the International Interdisciplinary Conference on Digital Cultural Heritage which will take place in the late summer 2017, is also looking for contributions that cover the impact of new technologies and processes on cultural heritage. In particular, contributions should focus on raise awareness in Society, Science, and Technology fields about importance of the cultural dimensions and the growing potential of Digital Cultural Heritage. Promotion of innovative content analysis from cross-organizational interoperability of digital humanities databases and XML methods, techniques, and approaches are also welcomed, as well as studies on how to create innovative cross-disciplines / cross sectors partnerships facilitate intercultural and interdisciplinary dialogue.
