1. Day of DH 2016
8 April 2016, online event
A Day in the Life of the Digital Humanities (Day of DH) is an open community publication project that will bring together scholars interested in the digital humanities from around the world to document what they do on one day. This year, Day of DH will take place on Friday 8th April. The goal of the project is to create a web site that weaves together a picture of the participant’s activities on the day which answers the question: “Just what do digital humanists really do?”

There are several ways to participate. One is to post on Twitter using either one of the suggested hashtags #dayofdh or #dayofdh2016, or you can visit and register on the website http://dayofdh2016.linhd.es/ and post updates there about what you are doing on 8th April.
2. Call for Abstracts – Audiovisual data and digital scholarship: towards multimodal literacy
Workshop at DH2016, 12 July 2016 in Kraków, Poland
This workshop will address both the challenges of analyzing audiovisual data in digital humanities scholarship, as well as the challenges of educating contemporary digital humanists on how to access, analyze, and disseminate an entire century of information generated with audiovisual media. This workshop is a follow-up to a first workshop on audiovisual material in digital humanities held at the 2014 DH Conference in Lausanne. That workshop paved the way for the foundation of the AVinDH Special Interest Group that has endorsed this 2016 edition. You can read the complete at this link.
