As a member of the H2020 project Humanities at Scale (HaS), Huma-Num organized, with DARIAH-EU Humanities at Scale, OpenEdition and Charles University, the first winter school of HaS.
As part of the Humanities at Scale Work Package 4 dedicated to Training and Education, the Prague Winter School gathered speakers and participants from different backgrounds and with various experience to work on the issue raised by the question of Open Data Citation for Social Sciences and Humanities. 20 participants have been awarded with a grant to support their participation and to give a great opportunity to gather an international group of people interested in scholarly communication, open access and open science. This group has a great balance between experts and students and between academics and professionals.
The outcome of the event will be the production of a communication package disseminated by the end of the year.
The Winter School is organized as 10 thematic sessions about Data Management Plan, Persistent Identification, Evaluation, Acknowledgment and Credit Circulation, Case Studies, Data journals and Editorialisation of Open Data, Economy of Open Access and Open Data Publication, Infrastructure and Platform, Social Impact.
